PACKHORSE BRIDGE
While out on my bicycle ride, I am attracted to turn down a little lane, which leads me to a lovely overgrown way with this excellent packhorse bridge, it is long with a raised footway. There is just enough width over the bridge to take a laden horse. The river is wide, shallow and floods a lot. It was a bit tricky getting my bicycle through. I love the willows, so delicate and moving constantly, the shadows and the view under the arches. The bridge has a lot of lichen on it, which is very difficult to depict.
