As I cycle from village to village, I come across this lovely barn, in timber and red brick, standing proudly as it has done for a long time. It has been beautifully converted in a sympathetic way keeping its form and appearance, with the base a platform of local sandstone. Buildings have changed use many times over the centuries, it's not new to make a home in a barn. The warm red brick glows in the sunshine reflecting the bright skies in the small windows on the gable end, with the shaded side a mass of ivy beside the tall barn doors. At the corner the ivy reaches to the roof. The small hawthorn tree is coming into leaf, while apple blossom covers the tree in the garden beyond the double gate. A cherry tree peeps over the ridge of the roof. I am in awe of this lovely place. What a find!
